This week Waterfront leaders,  Jim and Sheri Mueller, delivered a gift to a family in need. Read about the experience below.

“We had the opportunity to drop off the gift certificates today.

[she] is the young woman who had brain cancer surgery three weeks ago. We brought them dinner for tonight, but most importantly we were able to bring them a taste of God’s love from Waterfront CC.

I handed them the first envelope filled with [pizza restaurant] certificates, and their smiles were priceless. They were in amazement as they saw “several” opportunities to enjoy this family experience.  It’s their two daughters favorite family night spot. The restaurant manager added another $20 to this as a “special offer”.

As they opened another envelope with the certificates for [grocery store], their jaws dropped to the floor and they started crying.  Overwhelmed by the generosity of Waterfront is an understatement.

They asked that we pass on these words to everyone:

Your love for us in unbelievable. We cannot thank you enough.

Please continue to keep them in your prayers. [she] was seeing an oncologist today, to plan out her chemo treatments. She is nervous about what is ahead with intravenous chemo. She said this scares her more than the surgery did. Up until now, she has been able to take chemo orally.

Thanks for asking us to be along for this wonderful ride!”

Well done Waterfront. Thanks for being the church.

I saw what the church is doing on NBC nightly news. I live in Texas. Is there anyway we can make a donation to the church online?

Please let me know. I love what you are doing!

Thank you,
Clint Head

heya, My tiny garden center has become more of a “connection center” over the past 5 years. I’m in the far northern reaches of Wisconsin (moved from the north lakefront suburbs of Chicago 7 years ago after “hearing a call to service”)

I’ve come to believe that this garden center (I urge you to see photos on my website to see what I mean)is so much more and brings folks of all walks to the communal understanding of spirit and Creator…and helps them remember how to live with reverence and grace in this 3D carbon form.

What you are doing is also my call. I’ve just begun to “dream” the path I will take to move forward with this call. Thank you for your wonderful inspiration…love and peace…lynnann

Saw what you are doing on NBC Nightly news. God bless your church for what you are doing in helping people!

Hello:

I live in Texas and saw the Nightly News piece on your church last night. I am of the Luthern faith, but have not attended church for many years, as my general feeling is it is a business. Especially when I see how little is ever done to help the community.

This story was very inspirational to me, nearly bringing me to tears. Thank you for doing something that has given me hope that others may follow your lead.

Please email me information on anything that I may be able to do to help those in need in your community.

Sincerely,

Tracy :)

I am from Texas originally and saw the NBC podcast all the way over here in Hanoi. Vietnam where I have been living and was greatly touched. May God continue to be with your work and give you opportunities to serve Him.
