We think the children of our church are some of our most valuable resources. That’s why we hold our children’s ministry up as one of the most important of Waterfront.
The service at Waterfront begins at 5pm on Saturday nights. All adults and children meet together for the first 15-20 minutes of service because we think it’s important that kids and parents have a chance to participate in worship as a family.
After worship and announcements, parents will have an opportunity to check their children in with our children’s ministry leaders.
The adults return to the auditorium to continue with the message, and children receive a Bible-based lesson that is relevant and fun for them!
Our kids help make our mission Loving God and People Well a reality by learning that God loves them and wants to have a relationship with them. The kids also serve the community in various ways such as visiting the often forgotten in a local nursing homes and collecting money to meet the physical needs of those locally and around the world.
If you are interested in volunteering in the children’s ministry at Waterfront, feel free to contact us at kidscove@waterfrontcc.com or stop by the Security Desk. Most volunteers serve once a month.
What’s Happening at Kid’s Cove
Kids Loving God and People Well
Join us on September 18th and October 23rd
Kids Cove had a great visit to The Abbington nursing home and rehabilitation center recently. The kids made and decorated 55 cards and passed them out during our visit. We were introduced to each person, and met many interesting people . . . a World War 2 pilot, a sheriff from Texas, a photographer . . . we made some great friends!
We also saw some folks playing cards, so decided we want to go back again and play bingo! Saturday, September 18 is our Bingo Day! The kids are collecting bingo prizes, please help us with this! We will also return on October 23 for a Reverse Trick or Treat, where the kids will hand out little gifts to each resident.
We are accepting donations at the Security Desk – please help us make these events a success! You can join us, email kidscove@waterfrontcc.com for more info!
Donations needed for our September and October visits:
- Chapstick
- Pocket sized Kleenex
- Puzzle books
- Toiletries
- Sugar-free candy
Everyone at Waterfront is invited to join us at The Abbington on either day! Email us or stop by the Security Desk if you’d like to come – we start at 2:30pm both days!
