The Leadership Team
|My name is Jim Semradek, and
I have had a passion for the people of Schaumburg area for 20 years. In 1996 I began to pray that God would one day allow me to pastor in this community, and after 12 years of serving in great churches around the country . . . God brought me home. My wife and three kids moved here with one goal in mind: to live and invest in the people of this community for the rest of our lives. If you ever get the chance to visit our church, my hope is that you would experience one word: home. Jesus knew what he was saying when
he inspired our vision — To love God and people well! It is the most difficult, yet fulfilling conquest on the planet. I pray that you, and your family, would one day experience Jesus’ vision for His church .
. . and that you too would find a few relationships that feel like . . . home!
Jim was ordained in 1993 after receiving his undergraduate Degree in Pastoral Studies from Moody Bible Institute. In 2003, he earned two Masters Degrees – One in Biblical Studies and the other in Counseling from ReformedTheological Seminary and Asbury Seminary.

|My name is David Herrick, and
I am thrilled to have served as a Lead Servant at Waterfront Community Church
since we began the church in 2008. I’ve worn a number of hats at Waterfront, but my primary rolls have been leading the creative arts areas of our church and leading our teaching team. I grew up in Texas, lived in Colorado for about 6 years, and have now made a home in the Chicago area. I have one beautiful wife and another beautiful step-daughter, and I am very excited to see where God takes our family and our church next! Dave received his undergraduate degree in Sociology from Texas A&M, then his Masters in Divinity from Denver Seminary.

|My name is John Angle and it has been quite a journey for me to arrive at Waterfront Community Church. Over the last 20+ years, I have served in a variety of ministries on the staff of Willow Creek Community Church and the Lead Pastor of New Hope Community in Streamwood. No matter what my role has been, my underlying passion has been to see people discover and grow in a relationship with Jesus. I serve as the Family Pastor at Waterfront and I am thrilled to be able to contribute into the lives of our next generation. Whether its Kids Cove, our children’s ministry, or Front and Center, our middle school/high school ministry, or creating ways to help our parents become the best mothers and fathers they can be, I am excited to play a role in life transformation of all ages. One of my greatest blessings in life has been my own family. God has blessed me with a beautiful and amazing wife, Kathy. We have been married for over 30 years and our marriage just keeps getting better and better. We love serving as a team and being a part of the Waterfront family has been a gift from God. God has given us 5 wonderful children (ages 10-28) and a daughter-in-law. They are truly God’s special gift to us and we are very proud of each of them. I look forward to what God has in store for Waterfront Community Church and how He wants to use my family and me for His purposes. Being a part of a church that has a mission of Loving God and People Well is inspiring and one I will give my life to.|
